New: Student Contests

Ask the Expert

About

Cato on Campus's Ask the Expert is an opportunity for you as students to get answers from your favorite Cato scholars about the pressing questions on your mind. You can ask any Cato scholar any question related to their work. Each week, we will review the questions submitted, pick the best one to have an expert answer, and will then post the question and the expert’s response here on Cato on Campus.

Sample Questions

For Will Wilkinson: "What's it like to be a philosopher working on policy issues?"

For Tom Palmer: "From your travels, what country do you think is the most free today?"

For International Economics and Development: "As I understand it, U.S. foreign aid to developing countries is actually a pretty small percentage of total federal expenditures. So why should we worry about it?"

For Andrew Coulson: "I just read your post on Cato@Liberty titled 'SAT Scores - What the Media are Missing'. I'm interested now in just how great the gap is between SAT scores of students in private schools versus public schools, nationally. Do you know the answer?"
