About Cato on Campus
Cato on Campus is a new online resource created for students by the Cato Institute, one of the nation’s leading public policy research foundations. With extensive content of its own, this site also provides direct access to the massive online resources of Cato’s public Web site – www.cato.org. As you will note, at the core of Cato on Campus is a commitment to how human well-being and dignity are enhanced by a commitment to individual liberty, limited government, free markets, and peace.
Cato on Campus is both a sign-post and a destination --- providing you with directions, ideas, and links to highly compelling resources on the Internet, while housing a vast amount of unique information on major issues of the day.
Here you can find links to Cato studies and policy reports that will help you obtain a better understanding of matters that have a direct impact on your life and liberty, while also providing you with tremendously interesting perspectives you might not have considered or been aware of.
This wealth of material includes Cato’s Regulation magazine and Cato Journal, both of which contain essays and articles you can use in projects and research papers; daily op-eds and briefs from our policy scholars that give you Cato's take on the latest news; podcasts of recent Cato conferences and book forums; Cato-Unbound, the monthly online periodical featuring eminent thinkers of our time; and of course Cato@Liberty, the official Cato Institute blog.
Besides Cato's content, which we are confident you'll find useful and do hope you’ll use freely, we designed this website as an outlet for students to find other libertarian organizations, as well as scholarships, internships, essay contests, jobs, and other useful tools to help you in college and beyond. Exploring the world of ideas is exciting, but daunting; Cato on Campus exists to help you on your journey.
We hope you find the site informative and useful, and encourage you to bookmark us and come back often, as we are always updating the site with newer content.
